PRESPL is actively expanding its impact in the renewable energy and biomass sectors through a series of strategic partnerships and joint ventures with leading organizations. These collaborations reinforce PRESPL’s commitment to delivering sustainable solutions across India.
PEDA Partnership
PRESPL and PEDA (Punjab Energy Development Agency) have entered into a partnership to work together on multiple areas of mutual interest, including the setup of industrial steam projects, CoGen & TriGen steam plants, biomass assessment studies, biomass fuel supply, renewable energy projects, MSW (municipal solid waste) treatment projects, sewage treatment projects, and biomass energy plantations. This collaboration also covers the development of biomass processing projects such as briquetting and pelleting plants, technology development projects, and comprehensive energy audits. Together, PRESPL and PEDA are poised to drive innovation and execute impactful projects in the renewable energy and bioenergy space, exploring any new opportunities in similar lines of business.
GEDA Partnership
PRESPL has forged a significant tie-up with GEDA (Goa Energy Development Agency) to set up and supply a 20 TPD (tons per day) Biomass Briquetting Manufacturing Facility. This state-of-the-art facility will utilize tree and green waste, coconut shells, coconut leaves waste, and tender coconut waste as feedstock. The project is structured on a Design, Build, Operate, Finance, and Transfer (DBOFT) model and will run for ten years, making a vital contribution to Goa’s green energy infrastructure.
Biochar JV with APchemi & Intellecap
In partnership with APchemi and Intellecap , PRESPL is establishing a dedicated biochar platform housed within a separate joint venture. This initiative aims to scale the production and deployment of biochar, a key solution for carbon sequestration, soil enhancement, and sustainable agricultural practices. The JV combines technical, strategic, and market expertise from all three partners to accelerate biochar adoption both in India and globally.
Trace Xero Collaboration
PRESPL is working with Trace Xero to jointly undertake a pilot demonstration project in Goa. This project will deploy pilot-scale carbon capture and removal units in real-world operational environments, advancing PRESPL’s leadership in carbon management and climate-positive solutions. The partnership demonstrates PRESPL’s focus on practical climate action and innovation by integrating carbon capture technology into existing energy and waste management ecosystems.
PRESPL ORSL JV
The PRESPL-ORSL alliance is a strategic partnership to jointly develop and implement Bio-Gas and Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) projects across India and international markets. ORSL and PRESPL will offer end-to-end solutions from feedstock assessment to plant operations, combining ORSL’s innovation with PRESPL’s biomass capabilities for reliable and sustainable project execution.
Collaboration with Assam Government
PRESPL partners with the Assam Government to accelerate the state’s industrial decarbonization by facilitating the gradual replacement of coal, furnace oil, and gas-based industrial boilers with advanced biomass-based steam solutions. This initiative supports the state’s vision of establishing a strong policy framework for green industrial transition, integrating emission reduction targets, circular economy practices, and a robust set of sustainability incentives.
The company contributes expertise to develop a scalable Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model for deploying biomass-based steam solutions on Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) and leasing frameworks. Pilot biomass boiler projects are being set up in five key industrial sectors, supported by a proposed Statewide Green Steam Mandate, reinforcing Assam’s leadership in decarbonizing industry. To foster participation, a Carbon Credit Monetization mechanism is being developed, offering financial incentives to industries adopting biomass steam solutions.
Further, PRESPL is also building local biomass supply chains, harnessing blockchain-based traceability systems for transparency and sustainability assurance. Waste Heat Recovery Systems and AI-driven monitoring technologies are also being implemented to maximize energy efficiency in biomass boiler operations, in line with Assam’s Integrated Clean Energy Policy and national objectives for net-zero emissions by 2070.
Through these strategic collaborations, PRESPL reaffirms its leadership in sustainable biomass solutions, green technology adoption, and industry-academia knowledge exchange, paving the way for decarbonized industrial growth and climate resilience in India.
PRESPL Academia Partnerships
PRESPL builds strong and diverse partnerships with premier academic and research institutions to advance innovation, sustainability, and skilled manpower development in the fields of engineering, technology, management, and environmental sciences.
These collaborations include an NDA with CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum (https://www.iip.res.in/) to exchange proprietary information for evaluating technology, research opportunities, and potential future business ventures. PRESPL works with the Xavier School of Sustainability on R&D in sustainability management and the promotion of skilled professionals in engineering, technology, and management disciplines.
At Woxsen University ( , PRESPL’s CMD has been appointed as an Executive Fellow, fostering close academic-industry interaction. PRESPL also engages with the National University of Singapore to explore research collaborations and technology commercialization opportunities, including their Graduate Research Innovation Programme (GRIP).
The company collaborates with Mandsaur University and Symbiosis International (Deemed University) through joint activities and mutual support for various programs. PRESPL has formed a partnership framework with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) to explore a long-term business partnership under a Non-Circumvention, Non-Disclosure Agreement.
PRESPL supports the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology in promoting and developing high-quality skilled manpower in engineering, technology, management, and science.
